Beans turn in at 12:00, salsa turn in 12:30PM CASI and Freestyle chili turn in 1:00 PM. Entry fee first chili $20, $10 entry for each additional category entered. Make checks payable to Piedmont Pepper Pod. Showmanship also judged. Benefits Elks Lodge charity's. Jan 29, 2011-008 - Blowing Rock NC CASI. Blowing Rock Winterfest CCO Cookoff to benefit the Blowing Rock Historical Society. Held at Blowing Rock Elementary School, 165 Morris Street. Indoor event, no need for tents bring tables if you can, use small gas cans. Open and CASI chili will be judged. Turn-in for open is 11:00 am, CASI turn in is 1:00. Pre- registration deadline is January 1, 2011. Entry fee is $15 open/ $20 CASI before January 1, $25 open/$20 CASI after January 1. Meat is cook's choice. Open chili may be made at home, cash prizes awarded for open chili. This event draws a HUGE crowd, so please make lots of extra chili for the public. Mar 19, 2011-013 - Eatonton GA CASI. Lake Oconee Chili Cookoff Held at the Village of Harmony Crossing located just north of the junction of Hwy 44 and Harmony road. Entry fee $50 per cook-off space, this includes a 12 X 12 booth space, this entry fee also covers the cooking fees for up to 2 CASI and 2 open category entries for that cook- off space. Additional entries for the CASI & Open chili competition are $20 for each additional cook if cooking in the same cook-off space as the original entry. Benefiting the Myrtle Beach FAME Festival and its charities FAME is a totally not for profit entity. It has no paid staff or promoters. Everyone involved is a volunteer. ALL money after expenses go to our community and its charities. Headquarters at 509 North Broadway Street in historic downtown Myrtle Beach. Chili cook- off will be in conjunction with the second annual FAME Street Festival (Food, Art, Music, Entertainment). Go to web site myrtlebeachfamefestival.com for information on the festival. Special rates will be offered at downtown hotels and at the KOA Campground for CASI members. There will be a special welcome party for all cooks and CASI members on Friday night.
